Plunge into the heart of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance at this emblematic Périgord fortress, famous for its impressive octagonal keep and elegant Renaissance dwelling. The castle was first mentioned in 1183, recaptured from the English by Bertrand du Guesclin in 1377 during the Hundred Years’ War, then transformed during the Renaissance under the impetus of Jacquette de Montbron around 1580 with Olivier Daugreilh, Sancte Solari, Gilles Martinez and his troupe and the Orientissime Jean Dubois.
