Cycle route between Brantôme and Saint-Jean-de-Côle

This route takes in the village of Saint-Jean-de-Côle, listed as one of France’s Most Beautiful Villages, from Brantôme, a Petit Cité de Caractère. The start of the route is fairly difficult, with some uphill sections for which an electrically-assisted bike is recommended if you are not very sporty. From St-Pancrace onwards, the terrain becomes much gentler and promises a quiet finish at St Pardoux, a pretty village on the banks of the Dronne where the Flow Vélo joins the route. To reach St Jean de Côle, all you have to do is follow the Flow Vélo in the direction of Thiviers, and make the most of this former railway line and its shady route.
