The Castle Loop at Mareuil en Périgord

Description
Very pretty walk in green Périgord, admire Mareuil castle, one of the most imposing fortresses in Périgord, then head for St Pardoux and discover the charms of this perched village: Romanesque church, washhouse, sarcophagus fountain and cluzeaux. On the way back, take a break at the Château de Beauregard.

Start from the signpost on the Place de la Vectoire, walk up Rue Ecoles and then after about 30m turn left. Pass in front of the Mairie and take rue du Chateaux. At the Chateaux, turn right towards “Charas” and “Les Graulges”.
