Description
Located on the corner of Place de la Victoire, the chapel is home to a 17th-century gilded wooden statue of the Virgin Mary holding her child in her arms and in her right hand a staff, probably the remnant of a flowering reed. The sculpture is dear to the hearts of the people of Mareuillais, who solemnly celebrate its feast day on 8 September every year.
