For lovers of local flavours, don’t miss the local markets, a real must for discovering local produce and the friendly atmosphere of our villages.

From Brantôme-en-Périgord to Bourdeilles, via Mareuil and Champagnac-de-Belair, traditional markets bring the squares and lanes of the region to life every week.

Between June and September, take advantage of the farmers’ markets to stock up on 100% local produce and meet local producers directly. These typical markets offer an authentic immersion in local life, ideal for savouring the richness of the Périgord Vert and meeting producers directly.

In July and August, don’t miss the festive gourmet markets where you can dine in. A must for summer evenings in a friendly, musical atmosphere. You can put together your own meal from the producers: grilled meats, cheeses, salads, pastries, homemade ice creams, local wines…

In winter, make way for the prestigious truffle market, held from December to February on Friday mornings at theBrantôme Tourist Office. This is a unique opportunity to get up close to the black diamond of Périgord, watch the official weighing and meet the local truffle growers.
