Chemins de Terre d’Harrison Barker – Val de Dronne (from Paussac Saint-Vivien to Bourdeilles))
Description
This stage will take you from Paussac Saint-Vivien to Bourdeilles
.
– Harrison Barker, a journalist by training, was an English traveller who, at the end of the 19th century, travelled along the rivers of the Dordogne on foot and by canoe. He published a book about these adventures, Two summers in Guyenne. Forgotten for a while, it was translated and reprinted in the 21st century.
His stories allow us to discover the Périgord of the late 19th century, its heritage, its people and its landscapes. We invite you to follow in his footsteps in the Val de Dronne.
