How do I get to Dronne et Belle?

Situated in the heart of the Périgord Vert region, the Dronne et Belle area offers an unspoilt natural setting with rivers, picturesque villages and lush green landscapes. It’s easily accessible, whatever your point of departure or means of transport.

By car

A car is still the easiest way to fully explore the Dronne et Belle region and the surrounding area.

  • From Angoulême: about 45 minutes
  • From Périgueux: about 25 minutes
  • From Bordeaux: about 1 hour 45 minutes
  • From Limoges: approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

The department’s main roads provide easy access to the area’s towns and villages. Once here, the car is ideal for exploring the villages, natural sites and tourist activities in complete freedom.

By train

The area is accessible by train thanks to the nearby stations.

  • Angoulême station (TGV): direct links from Paris (approx. 2 hours) and Bordeaux
  • Périgueux station: regional lines

From these stations, there are bus routes into the Dronne et Belle area.

By plane

By bus

The Dronne et Belle region is accessible by bus on regional transport routes.

Routes 310 and 311 run from Angoulême and Périgueux, stopping at Mareuil, Vieux-Mareuil, Brantôme, Biras and Valeuil.
