The Alter Duo invites you on a musical voyage, "Mémoire d'Europe", highlighting the lyricism and virtuosity of the double bass. Designed around original pieces and transcriptions, the program subtly alternates works by great composers with lesser-known pieces from the double bass repertoire: Saint-Saëns, M. de Falla, G. Bottesini, F. Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, R. Glière. Jean-Baptiste Mathulin (piano) and Julien Mathias (double bass) met in 2002 at the Saint Etienne conservatory and then in Lyon, and founded the Alter-Duo in 2015. 17? in the nave, 14? in the gallery, members 14?, free for under-16s.
